Diese Gleichungssysteme besitzen die Gestalt Ax = b mit einer gegebenen Matrix A, einer rechten Seite b und einem gesuchten Vektor x. Zu den Aufgaben der numerischen linearen Algebra gehört sowohl das Lösen solch eines linearen Gleichungssystems, also die Entwicklung schneller und effizienter Verfahren, als auch die theoretische Analyse der verschiedenen Lösungsstrategien. Die vorgelegte Dissertation beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse sogenannte algebraische Mehr- gitterverfahren (AMG) mit F-Gättung, die zum Lösen lineare Gleichungssysteme verwendet werden können. Die ersten Idee zu Mehrgitterverfahren stammen von von Fedorenko (1964) und Bakhvalov (1966), die ersten algebraischen Varianten wurden von Brand, McCormick, Ru- ge und Stüben (1982/1987) entwickelt. Mitlerweile zählen algebraische Mehrgitterverfahren zu den effektivsten iterativen Verfahren zum Lösen großer linearer Gleichunssystem der heutigen Zeit. Eine spezielle Unterklasse von algebraischen Mehrgitterverfahren entstehen bei der Verwendung einer sogenannten F-Glättung, die in der vorgelegten Schrift umfassend untersucht wird. Zur dieser Klasse gehören das u.a.von Notay analysierte Multilevel-Block-Faktorisierungsverfahren (2005) sowie das von MacLachlan, McCormick und Manteuffel entwickelte reduction-based AMG (2006). In der Dissertation werden algebraische Mehrgitterverfahren mit F-Glättung im Allgemeinen analysiert. Diese Analyse basiert zum großen Teil auf der sogenannten Cauchy-Bunyakovski- Schwarz-Konstante und generalisierten hierarchischen Basen. Im Zuge dieser Untersuchung muss diese Konstante abgeschätzt werden. Die wahrscheinlich einzig bekannte und hilfreiche Abschätzung wurde im Jahr 2006 von Notay geliefert. In der vorgelegten Arbeit wird eine weitere Abschätzung vorgestellt, die sogar eine Verallgemeinerung des Resultates von Notay darstellt. Des Weiteren werden in der Arbeit AMG`s eingeführt, die auf speziellen Tschebyshev Polynomen basieren und AMGp-Verfahren genannt werden. Mithilfe der zuvor vorgestellten Analysis können diese Verfahren umfassend untersucht werden. We also develop the concept of relations and functions on multiset spaces and show that the multiset space can be metrized thereby defining topology on a multiset. In the end, we delineate the problem related to difference and complementation in multiset theory. This research addresses some of these limitations through the application within three companies of a new Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model to van fuel efficiency measurement. In order to use the fuel information obtained from the fuel cards statements, a cleansing and smoothing algorithm was developed to ensure that the data could be safely used in the models. The results indicate that DEA provides a better and more comparable fuel efficiency measure while effectively addressing some key limitations of the mpg measure. Recent success of driver competitions seems to indicate there is a latent need in the industry for accurate driver performance measurement, which suggests that methods such as the one developed in this research could be of greater use in the near future. ····· 10361103048
