Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war die systematische Untersuchung der optischen und kristallographischen Eigenschaften der Uranmonochalcogenide und verdünntem Uransulfid unter hohen Drücken, um den Einfluss des Drucks und der chemischen Verdünnung auf den Lokalisierungsgrad der 5f-Elektronen zu bestimmen. Die Messungen der Kristallstruktur an US, USe und UTe und an den verdünnten Mischkristallen U0,8La0,2S, U0,4La0,6S und LaS zeigen sehr gute Übereinstimmung mit den Literaturwerten. Auch bei der Bestimmung der Phasenübergänge und der Kompressionsmoduln sind im Rahmen der Messungenauigkeiten gute Übereinstimmungen erreicht worden. Für US konnte ein Phasenübergang bei ~70 GPa identifiziert werden, ein Übergang in die bcc-Struktur kann dabei ausgeschlossen werden. Allein für USe wurde mit 79 GPa ein etwas höherer Kompressionsmodul bestimmt, der aber näher an den theoretischen Vorhersagen liegt. Für den Kompressionsmodul von U0,4La0,6S ist eine erhebliche Abweichung vom erwarteten linearen Verhalten bezüglich der Urankonzentration festgestellt worden. Bei den optischen Messungen unter Druck in der Reihe der Uranmonochalcogenide zeigt sich eine starke Zunahme der Lokalisierung vom US hin zum UTe. Diese Lokalisierung kann durch das Anlegen von Druck und die dadurch bedingte Verringerung der Gitterkonstante teilweise wieder aufgehoben werden. Bei einem Übergang in die kubisch raumzentrierte Kristallstruktur zeigen USe und UTe jeweils ein vollständig itinerantes Verhalten, was durch die jeweils stark verbreiterten 5f-Bänder des Urans erklärt werden kann. Die Plasmafrequenz, die in der Reihe der Monochalcogenide vom US zum UTe hin stark abfällt, kann durch das Anlegen von Druck wieder leicht erhöht werden, was mit einem Anstieg der Ladungsträgerkonzentration einhergeht. Beim Phasenübergang in die bcc-Phase nimmt diese für das USe und UTe jedoch schlagartig ab. Die Dämpfung der freien Elektronen bleibt für alle Monochalcogenide in der fcc-Phase nahezu unverändert, auch hier ist eine starke Veränderung nur durch den Phasenübergang zu verzeichnen, der beim USe und UTe einen Abfall um den Faktor 5 bzw. 6 bewirkt. Allgemein kann mit steigendem Druck ein zunehmend metallisches Verhalten beobachtet werden. Die Anpassungsrechnungen legen neben den stark gedämpften f-artigen Elektronen auch das Auftreten von schwach gedämpften d-artigen Elektronen bei niedrigen Drücken nahe. ····· 10361158369

Die Erzeugung von ultrakurzen Lichtimpulsen im Piko- und Femtosekunden-Bereich eröffnet viele Anwendungsmöglichkeiten bei der Untersuchung von extrem schnellen Prozessen in der Biologie, Physik und Chemie. Von besonderem Interesse ist hier der sichtbare Spektralbereich, in dem viele organische Stoffe Absorptionsmaxima zeigen. Aufgrund der begrenzten Abstimmbarkeit der Emissionswellenlänge typischer Lasermaterialien im Infrarot-Bereich stehen auch nach der Frequenz-verdopplung in den sichtbaren Spektralbereich für viele Anwendungen keine geeigneten Strahlquellen zur Verfügung. Ziel dieser Arbeit war deshalb die Entwicklung und Charakterisierung neuartiger Ultrakurzpuls-Strahlquellen, die eine Erschließung neuer Wellenlängenbereiche ermöglichen. Dazu wurde zum einen eine Ultrakurzpuls-Strahlquelle hoher mittlerer Leistung, basierend auf dem Lasermaterial Yb:YAG, bei einer Wellenlänge von 1030 nm entwickelt. Zum anderen wurde, basierend auf dem physikalischen Effekt der stimulierten Raman-Streuung, ein neuartiges Konzept zur Erzeugung von ultrakurzen Lichtimpulsen bei neuen Wellenlänge demonstriert. Die Realisierung des Yb:YAG Lasers war erst durch die Untersuchung und numerische Modellierung der physikalischen Eigenschaften des Lasermaterials möglich, da in Hochleistungssystemen aufgrund des Quantendefekts große Wärmemengen im Laserkristall deponiert werden. Die daraus resultierenden Effekte, wie spannungsinduzierte Doppelbrechung oder das Ausbilden von starken thermischen Linsen, steigern mit zunehmender Pumpleistung die Anforderungen an das Resonatordesign und die Pumpanordnung. Sin embargo a pesar de que las mallas con mayor densidad incrementan la eficiencia térmica del regenerador, no necesariamente son más recomendables, debido a que se incrementa la caída de presión al momento de la operación del motor Stirling. Finalmente, al introducir un regenerador con una alta eficiencia en un motor Stirling, la eficiencia térmica del motor también se incrementa, sin embargo la potencia que entrega el motor es la misma. Province of North Sulawesi in Indonesia is estimated to have geothermal energy as much as 865 MWe. One of the geothermal fields in North Sulawesi is located in Lahendong, which contains potential energy about 530 MW (Pertamina Geothermal Energy 2009). Currently, Lahendong geothermal field is being developed by Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina, the state-owned oil and gas company of Indonesia. Two geothermal power stations have been operated with installed capacity of 20 MW each (Unit 1 and Unit 2) in that geothermal field. There is also a 20 MW power station (Unit 3) that has been undergoing operational testing since April 2009. The viscous Newtonian thin film or non-Newtonian inelastic power-law film or viscoelastic film down an inclined plane or vertical wall is considered and dynamics of waves and stability characteristics of thin film flow systems are analyzed. The investigations are based on the derivation of an amplitude equation of Landau-Stuart type for the evolution of waves for isothermal or non-isothermal films valid in the neighborhood of a neutral curve or on the use of modern bifurcation techniques of dynamical systems theory together with direct numerical integration to construct weakly nonlinear permanent waves on Newtonian / viscoelastic films for moderate to high Reynolds numbers and small to moderate surface tension effects. The work also considers the development of a flow of a viscous conducting fluid over a rough spinning disk in the presence of a transverse magnetic field with or without induced air shear effects.
