Dependency on Thais, limited legal status and lack of options for multiple livelihoods are the factors of insecurity for Karen and Thai-Karen in forest livelihood. Hence, the effect was examined through the pre-test and the post-test. The results of the pre-test showed that there was no significant difference in the grammar accuracy of the students writing between the control and experimental groups prior to the experiment. The results of the post-test in all cases showed that there was a significant difference between the control and experimental groups in grammar accuracy in students writing abilities (P0.05). The data obtained from the students questionnaire also indicated that students in the experimental group had a positive attitude towards communicative grammar in the context of writing. The results of the student and teacher interviews and classroom observations further substantiated this finding. On the basis of the findings of the study, it was concluded that communicative grammar in the context of writing could have a great value in improving students grammatical accuracy in their writing. ····· 10361136008

En vista de esto, en este trabajo, producto de una tesis doctoral, nos planteamos como objetivos, en primer lugar, describir y analizar algunos rasgos retóricos y discursivos de de 120 artículos científicos odontológicos publicados en español entre enero de 1999 y diciembre de 2005 en segundo lugar, describir y analizar el uso de estrategias de atenuación en este corpus finalmente, basado en los resultados, explorar algunas estrategias pedagógicas para la enseñanza del discurso académico escrito, en inglés y en español, en esta comunidad. Encontramos que el discurso odontológico tiene rasgos distintivos relacionados con el contexto, la estructura del género y con el uso de la atenuación. Por consiguiente, proponemos que éstos se enseñen tanto en grado como en postgrado. Esto podría fortalecer el desarrollo de la competencia de escritura de estudiantes y odontólogos en formación, para publicar artículos científicos en español y en inglés.
