Follow us on Telegram: \nhttps://t.me/s/ruptlynews\n\nSubscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe\n\nMandatory Credit: Rostec\n\nRussia's latest passenger aircraft, the MS-21-300, successfully completed its first flight on Saturday, having departed and landed at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant airstrip.\n \nThe aircraft features a wing made from Russian composite materials, allowing for better aerodynamics. \n \n"Together with our colleagues from Moscow State University, Rosatom, scientists, specialists, designers and technologists, a new material has been developed, a new construction has been made and a cycle of tests has been conducted," commented Yuri Slyusar, a general director at the United Aircraft Corporation.\n \n"This is actually the first serial aeroplane with a wing made of the Russian composite materials," added Slyusar.\n \nThe medium-range aircraft has a capacity to carry between 163 and 211 passengers. \n\nAccording to Rostec's press service, the certification of the MS-21-300 is close to completion in Russia. \n \nDeliveries of the aircraft to airlines are scheduled to begin in 2022.\n\n---\n\nSOT Yuri Slyusar, General director at United Aircraft Corporation (Russian): "Together with our colleagues from Moscow State University, Rosatom, scientists, specialists, designers and technologists, a new material has been developed, a new construction has been made and a cycle of tests has been conducted.
