Avocado farmers are calling on the government to create more export opportunities, with many struggling to survive amid plunging local demand and prices. \n\nSky News senior reporter Caroline Marcus said avocado prices are "lower than never" and that the "humble fruit is now smashing farmers too". \n\n"The industry is ramping up calls for the government to open-up export to the region's biggest importer, Japan," Ms Marcus said.
