The Northern Territory is entering a critical few days as authorities battle to contain a COVID-19 outbreak that has grown to 25 people.\n\nTwo new local cases were recorded on Friday and urgent tracing is underway to see just how far the disease has spread.\n\nOne of the positive cases is a 59-year-old Aboriginal woman while the other is a non-Indigenous male health worker in his 30s.\n\nThe man is fully vaccinated but has been transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital due to existing health issues. \n\nThe woman's vaccination status is unknown, however authorities say she is associated with households known to have positive infections. \n\nThere are growing concerns about a positive wastewater detection in Katherine.\n\nChief Minister Michael Gunner says vaccination rates will determine how long the community will stay in lockdown.
