The study uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate the nature of changes that resulted following an eight -week teaching experiment. Findings of this study provide positive evidence to suggest that problem-posing is a useful activity in the quest for improved problem-solving competence, particularly in a student`s ability to explain how they solved problems. In addition, the data collected provided evidence to suggest that student`s attitudes towards solving problems can be greatly enhanced by a problem-posing intervention.
