Explosions of firecrackers, especially on New Year`s Eve, is enormous and some people are subjected to a peak sound pressure levels, which excide permissible level, and can cause loss of hearing. In many cases, firecracker explosions present a source of annoyances and stress-related diseases, so for people as well as for wild and domestic animals. In addition, they present a fire hazard and risk of personal injuries (burns of body and face, loss of sight and fingers). The number of firecracker explosions and a peak sound pressure distribution are the main parameters influencing on the place of immission, therefore some statistical properties were observed. A special emphasis is given to the joint probability density distribution of the peak sound overpressure levels, originating from a great number of firecracker random explosions. Investigations have shown that in case of the high enough number of explosions in unit time, the Rayleigh distribution tends to a Gaussian one.
