It is based on a field survey study that aimed at finding out factors that determine women s utilization of the ICTs in Mumias Division. The study was based on the assumption that ICTs utilization by women brings about socio-economic development. A sample of 120 respondents was systematically sampled from 600 households neighboring the market centers of each location. The data collected was subjected to inferential and descriptive statistical analysis. Findings showed that there is a relationship between the women s level of education, economic status of women and cultural values, with the utilization of ICTs. The author argues that for women to be exposed to ICT skills, computer studies should be introduced early in the Kenyan education system - preferably at primary school level.
