2,5 Mio. Bäume zu pflanzen ist unser Ziel für 2021 - und die Sterne stehen gut, dass wir es schaffen. Zwischenzeitlich gab es allerdings auch Unterbrechungen. Kurz nach Beginn der Regenzeit, auf die wir so sehnlich gewartet haben, blieb der Regen aus. Viele Blätter unserer frisch gepflanzten Bäumchen wurden braun; das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass sie es nicht geschafft haben: Sie befinden sich dann in einer Art Winterschlaf und warten auf den nächsten Regen. Im Video erklärt unser Ökologe Antonio, der unsere Pflanzung auf Las Américas 7 koordiniert, wie es im September, als der Regen ausblieb, aussah.\n\nDie gute Nachricht: Aktuell regnet es in unseren Pflanzgebieten aus „vollen Eimern?. \n\n___\n\nPlanting 2.5 million trees is our goal for 2021 - and the stars are aligned that we'll make it. In the meantime, however, there have been interruptions. Shortly after the start of the rainy season, which we had been waiting for so eagerly, the rains failed to materialize. Many leaves of our freshly planted little trees turned brown; however, this does not mean that they did not make it: They are then in a kind of hibernation, waiting for the next rain. In the video, our ecologist Antonio, who coordinates our planting on Las Américas 7, explains what it looked like in September when the rains stayed away.\nThe good news is that currently it is raining from "full buckets" in our planting areas.
