Filter Sponge/Foam for Fish API Sponge Nexx 30 ppi (X2) Pre-Filtration 30ppi foam for the NEXX external filter and extension. Ideal thickness to filter small particles. Cut in a circular shape to fit the canisters of the NEXX filter and extensions. For use with pouch media such as API CRYSTAL; or other fine media by API in the absence of the caddy and 4 sided filter cartridge. \nDirections for use: Remove the caddy and place the foam into the bottom of the filtration compartment (canister columns). Every month wash the foam pad thoroughly in a basin of water taken from the aquarium. Replace every 3 months.
