The adjustable FURminator Dematter tool removes matted hair safely and easily. Use as often as needed, even daily, on dry hair. Use daily on pets with thick hair for 5 to 10 minutes per session on dry hair. Avoid insisting on the same area, since this could irritate your pet`s skin and coat. Brush until your pet`s coat is untangled and unraveled. STEP 2: To remove knots from your pet`s coat, adjust the detangling edges to the proper position for the length of your pet`s coat by pressing the FURextend button and lock them in that position using the easy slide tab.
