The authors adopt the method of case study, using a foreign news desk in a certain news network in Taiwan as the object of this research and looking into the workings of the organization. The results of the existing study show that news translation should be considered a type of translation in a more generalized meaning, notwithstanding the fact that there are differences between news translation and general translation.
