Donald Trump's attorneys tried to argue in court this week in a motion that they filed in New York, that New York attorney general Letitia James cannot in fact be involved in the investigation into Donald Trump because she just can't. They claimed that this investigation was in fact unconstitutional and their motion said that Letitia James needs to recuse herself from this investigation. Now, according to the reports I've read, they're not exactly clear as to why Letitia James specifically, personally cannot be in charge of the investigation other than them, of course, claiming that this is a partisan witch hunt and she was politically motivated to do this. The problem is if you're gonna make a claim like that, you kind of have to be able to back it up. I mean, is, is there a history between James and Trump? Is there some bad blood there from years ago that the public's not aware of? You know, did she vow vengeance against the Trump family a decade ago and now she's finally got her chance? No, none of that ever happened. In fact, what has happened in the last few months is Donald Trump has repeatedly issued statements from down at Mar-a-Lago attacking her. Oftentimes even mocking her for not winning a recent election. But all of this happened, of course, after the investigation was launched. Had it happened before, maybe you could make that argument that, hey, look, she's off because he was rude to her. So she's investigating him, but you did it after the fact, which kind of takes away that argument. Not to mention there've already been charges filed and when charges are filed, that also takes away the fact that, oh, no, this was totally partisan. There's nothing here. No, it's not a witch hunt because you got your witches. So, so we know that individuals or at least there's enough evidence to suggest that certain individuals did in fact commit a crime. So that alone negates that argument. Either way, Trump's attorneys really have no legal leg to stand on in their attempts to get Letitia James kicked off the case. And that's what's so ridiculous to me about all of this. They're using these same arguments over and over and over again. They have tried repeatedly to get this dismissed, to get out of it, to do whatever by saying, nope, it's, it's a partisan witch hunt. So therefore it can't move forward. And every time they do it, the judge says, yes, it can. I'm not listening to this anymore. And it's about time for the judges to finally get firm on that and say, listen, shut up, stop filing these foolish motions and stop wasting the court's time or I'm going to find you in contempt. That's what needs to happen at this point, because all these tactics from these lawyers at Trump's direction, clearly, it's delay tactics because they know that's all they can do. They know they're not gonna get the case dismissed, but if they can delay it, if they can keep filing these frivolous motions to try to everything back a couple of weeks, they're gonna continue to do it. So it's about time for those overseeing this to step in, put an end to the ridiculous motions being put forward by Trump's lawyers and allow the investigators to just do their jobs.
