A Study of Crystallization Process in Chalcogenide Se70Te27Sn3 Glass

The growth parameter for crystallization was found to increase with the addition of Sn to Se-Te which can be attributed to homogeneous two dimensional growths of crystallites. The value of n obtained is 2.6225 ± 0.1225. As the value of n obtained is between 2 and 3, this indicates a 2 dimensional growth with a disc like particles changing to rod like formation with temperature and time. The value of activation energy EG due to graph is obtained as 3.8821eV, which is higher than obtained by other workers. This value is about 1.6eV higher than the Se70-Te30 due to addition of Sn in this material.
