THE MAIN FINDINGS: Inspection has no impact on academic performance in KCSE Examinations. (a) Only four schools (2 provincial and 2 district) out of 38 were inspected five times (at least once in a year) within the period of five years prior to this study. (b) All inspectors reported that they had to inspect teachers in subjects in which they (inspectors) were not qualified/ specialised in.
