Different types of levers are available in different form in the nearby surrounding of the children. Children construct knowledge relating the concepts learnt by them with the available examples in their surrounding. In order to evaluate how far the students are able to express their constructed knowledge the traditional approach of evaluation has less scope. In this regard an attempt was made to use unconventional approach of evaluating comprehension of levers and its type among class VIII students of Vadodara city.
