Active Exploration of Training Data for Improved Object Detection

····· lezzter Preis 44.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
This book concerns the problem of object detection, which is defined as finding all instances of an object class of interest and fitting each of them with a tight bounding window. This seemingly easy task for humans is still extremely difficult for machines. However, recent advances in object detection have enabled machines to categorize many classes of objects. Statistical models are often used for representing an object class of interest. These models learn from extensive training sets and generalize with low error rates to unseen data in a highly generic manner. But, these statistical methods have a major drawback in that they require a large amount of training data. We approach this problem by making the process of acquiring labels less tedious and less costly by reducing human labelling effort. Throughout this book, we explore means of efficient label acquisition for realizing cheaper training, faster development time, and higher-performance of object detectors. ····· 1036125292

Petri Net based Multi-Elevator System with Multi-Agent Environment

····· lezzter Preis 44.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
I m trying to build bridges between mathematics and practical subjects like information technology and engineering. A Petri nets (PNs) are a graphical and mathematical tool that are used for describing and studying information processing systems that are characterized as being concurrent, asynchronous, distributed, parallel, non-deterministic and/or stochastic. As a graphical tool, Petri nets can be used as a visual-communication aid similar to flow charts, block diagrams and networks. Tokens are used in these nets to simulate the dynamic and concurrent states of systems. As a mathematical tool, it is possible to set up state equations, algebraic equations and other mathematical models governing the behavior of systems. Since Petri nets are a formal methods designing and modeling technique, so they are used to model complex systems as mathematical entities. By building a mathematically rigorous model of a complex system, it is possible to verify the system`s properties in a more thorough fashion than empirical testing. ····· 1036125183

Improving QoS in Grids Through Meta-Scheduling in Advance

····· lezzter Preis 71.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
The provision of Quality of Service (QoS) in Grid environments is still an open issue that needs attention from the research community. One way of contributing to the provision of QoS in Grids is by performing meta-scheduling of jobs in advance, that is, jobs are scheduled some time before they are actually executed. Therefore, it becomes more likely that the appropriate resources are available to run the job when needed, so that QoS requirements of jobs are met (i.e., jobs are finished within a deadline). This thesis presents a framework built on top of Globus and the GridWay meta-scheduler to provide QoS by means of performing meta-scheduling in advance decisions. This framework manages idle/busy periods of resources in order to choose the most suitable resource for each job by means of predictions techniques. As no prior knowledge on the duration of jobs is required by the users and to take into account the dynamism of this type of environments, some prediction techniques are presented to estimate the future status of resources (network inclusive) as well as the duration of jobs into them based on that information. ····· 1036125007

A requirements elicitation framework for AOSE

····· lezzter Preis 71.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
This research monograph examines the difficulties of gathering and expressing requirements for agent based systems, and describes the development of an agent oriented requirements elicitation framework. Conceptual modelling in the form of Conceptual Graphs is offered as a means of representing the constituent parts of an agent based system. In particular, use of a specific graph, the Transaction Model, illustrates how complex agent concepts can be modelled and tested prior to detailed design specification. Using an exemplar in the healthcare domain, a design framework is developed showing how the Transaction Agent Modelling (TrAM) approach assisted the design of complex community healthcare payment models. Insight gained during the design process is used to enrich and refine the framework in order that detailed ontological specifications can be constructed, before validating with a mobile learning scenario. The ensuing discussion evaluates how useful the approach is, and demonstrates a number of significant contributions for early requirements gathering in Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE). ····· 1036124939

Image Encryption Scheme Based on Chaotic Maps

····· lezzter Preis 44.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
A new encryption scheme using dynamical 8 × 8 S-box, based on the composition of chaotic maps, is proposed. In this method, the dynamical S-box, one first uses a known chaotic dynamical system to generate a sequence of pseudo-random bytes, then applies certain permutations to them, using the discretized version of another two dimensional chaotic map. A sequence of pseudo-random bytes generated from two dimensional cat map is used to index the entry of the S-box. The output 8 bits (0-255) of the S-box are XOR-ed with the plaintext to obtain the ciphertext and XOR-ed with the ciphertext to obtain the plaintext. Standard statistical tests of this scheme are performed. We show that this new scheme can generate usable pseudo-random numbers, while maintaining a large enough keyspace for potential use in encryptions. ····· 1036124810

Face Recognition from Video Image

····· lezzter Preis 44.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Face recognition technology analyzes the unique shape, pattern and positioning of the facial features. Face recognition is very complex technology and is largely software based. This Biometric Methodology establishes the analysis framework with tailored algorithms for each type of biometric device. Face recognition starts with a picture, attempting to find a person in the image. This can be accomplished using several methods including movement, skin tones, or blurred human shapes. The face recognition system locates the head and finally the eyes of the individual. Face recognition technologies have been associated generally with very costly top secure applications. Today the core technologies have evolved and the cost of equipments is going down dramatically due to the integration and the increasing processing power. Certain applications of face recognition technology are now cost effective, reliable and highly accurate. The natural use of face recognition technology is the replacement of PIN, physical tokens or both needed in automatic authorization or identification schemes. Additional uses are automation of human identification or role authentication. ····· 1036124750

Cloud Computing is the buzz word these days. But not everyone is aware of what it is, how it came about and how capable it is of molding the future of technology. This book is aimed at answering these questions and many more from a very basic level. It throws light at the fact that cloud computing, although a relatively new term, has originated from much older technologies. The cloud is developing at a fast pace but it still has many glitches to fix and problems to solve, one of them being data security attacks. Some of the top providers of cloud services have been mentioned in the book, who are competing to provide the best services to their customers. The cloud is changing the way data is handled or stored. It is also providing software as a service, infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, etc. in order to make data handling easier and cheaper for the user of the service. ····· 1036124703

Firewall Evaluation:Models for Major Decisions in Computer Security

····· lezzter Preis 41.31€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
This work presents a number of Models for the Evaluation of Firewall Systems. The culmination of which is a generalized model which is used to evaluate firewall systems in a complex computing and network environment. The whole idea of the model is to provide a single value which sums all the security characteristics of the firewall and assess its ability to secure a particular environment as defined by the user. The fact that the user is able to define the inputs to the model makes the model dynamic. It is of interest to note that the model which we call the Firewall Vulnerability Assessment Confidential Parameter (FVACP) communicates exactly which firewall to choose in one s given environment. It is now easy for any company to select a firewall which suits its security needs and be able to make computer security strategic decisions. The fact that the FVACP is a general model means that it is a starting point in computer security metrics. As system engineers follow it a number of times they will be able to develop their own variations of the model depending on their situation. PCG Signal Denoising and Analysis Using Wavelet Transform

····· lezzter Preis 53.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
The establishment of the clinical electrocardiograph (ECG) by the Dutch physician Willem Einthoven in 1903 marked the beginning of a new era in medical diagnostic techniques, including the entry of electronics into health care. Since then, electronics, and subsequently computers, have become integral components of biomedical signal analysis systems, performing a variety of tasks from data acquisition and preprocessing for removal of artifacts to feature extraction and interpretation. The clinically relevant information in the signal is often masked by noise and interference, and the signal features may not be readily comprehensible by the visual or auditory systems of a human observer. Heart sounds, for example, have most of their energy at or below the threshold of auditory perception of most humans the interference patterns of a surface electromyography (EMG) signal are too complex to permit visual analysis. This book is an attempt to complete an extensive design of algorithm for denoising the PCG signals. This involves problem identification and its viable solution with the help of programming with MATLAB. Chapter 1 gives a brief description, purpose and outline of the subject ····· 1036124673
