The Paradoxical Nature of New Venture Failure

····· lezzter Preis 71.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
New Venture Failure (NVF) is a well researched field, placing emphasis on the importance of learning and recovering from. However, studies about what it is that one can learn from NVF are scant. This exploratory, qualitative study explores how experienced Australian entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs perceive NVF, and what they have learned from it. The research used practice-based theories to convert the participants experiences into academic theories. I conclude with a conceptual list of advice to help novice and nascent entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs succeed in their first venture/s, as suggested by the participants. A significant addition to the body of knowledge in this domain is depicted. Since this study is a first of its kind to integrate entrepreneurial learning and new venture failure, the following finding is highlighted: Venture failure is not perceived in a negative context by entrepreneurs, as long as they learn from the experience/s. As such, it is identified that ventures fail, not entrepreneurs! This finding would, however, provide a base for further empirical research into the psychological aspects of entrepreneurs perceptions to new venture failure. ····· 1036125039

····· lezzter Preis 71.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Director-Auditor Link and Audit Quality aims to examine the effects of director-auditor link on audit services fee, non-audit services fee and audit opinion. Based on the attachment theory, it is argued that director-auditor link created by interlocking directorates enhances the mutual dependence and trust between the directors and their auditor and this mutuality is expected to influence audit services fee, non-audit services purchased from auditor and audit opinion. Analyses are conducted using data of 759 listed companies on the Bursa Malaysia in 2007 and a two-stage regression method is employed to accommodate the simultaneous equation model. The results show that director-auditor link has a significant negative relationship with audit services fee and significant positive relationships with non-audit services fee purchased from auditor and the issuance of unqualified audit opinion. Thus, the results provide initial evidence on the importance of reviewing the director-auditor link practices in the business environment. ····· 1036124988

How should we report corporate social responsibility?

····· lezzter Preis 44.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting is similar in traditional financial accounting in the sense that it gives an account of the doings of a company over a given period of time, traditionally a year. This report is usually available to the general public, however, it differs from traditional financial accounting in that even a publicly listed company is not obligated to produce such a report. Currently, CSR reporting is still based on voluntary service. This research has been conducted due to the rising importance or trend of Corporate Social Reporting in order to assess how to properly report a company`s doings in order to produce the maximum value for both the company and its stakeholders. As a result of the research, the thesis comes to the conclusion that there is not a single way to properly report CSR, but rather a multitude of different ways in which companies can properly report such, and, thus, both create value for their stakeholders, and the company itself. As a conclusion, the paper explains that reporting depends on many different factors, such as time, strategy, audience, industry, etc. ····· 1036124963

····· lezzter Preis 53.10€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Retailing in India is one of the pillars of its economy and accounts for 14 to 15 percent of its GDP. India is one of the fastest growing retail markets in the world, with 1.2 billion people. India`s retail and logistics industry, organized and unorganized in combination, employs about 40 million Indians (3.3% of Indian population). Retailing in India has remained in the unorganized sector and largely untouched by corporates. Shopping malls and new format stores are invariably becoming the visible face of Indian retail growth. International as well as national brands are available in these malls. Customers are becoming more brand and price conscious. With the emergence of upper middle class, the purchasing parity of consumers is changing. This class wants the good quality goods but with some price considerations. Private labeled goods meet this demand in a very good manner. Therefore malls also offer private branded or in-house branded goods, which are good in quality and less in price than national brands. In this book, I have discussed marketing strategies applied in retail sector. Authored by: Hardeep Singh Assistant Professor R/O Amritsar - The Holy City (Punjab) INDIA. ····· 1036124885

Credit Granting to Small Firms in Brazil

····· lezzter Preis 61.20€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
In this work, the Brazilian credit market for small and medium-sized enterprises is analyzed from a perspective in which business activities are driven by the utility of market players. From a sample of credit proposals submitted to a large Brazilian bank, the lender s utility is studied. In addition, credit transactions in the small business segment are investigated in terms of the relations between interest rates and collateral. Results reveal the existence of an environment in which small business borrowers are credit rationed and accept to pay high interest rates when purchasing credit products based on liquid collateral. Also, the bank s utility from a credit transaction is affected by the private information it captures along its relationships with customers. Findings imply that financial systems may not be fostering the demand for productive credit by means of low-priced loans. The study provides relevant information for those interested in productive credit markets, such as professionals of financial institutions, public policy makers and small and medium-sized business entrepreneurs who need funding. ····· 1036124827

Strategies for Creating a Sustainable UK Farming and Food Industry

····· lezzter Preis 85.41€ ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
This book focuses on UK Government policy-making as it pertains to the UK farming and food industry. This sector faces many serious economic problems. In response, the UK Government has developed policies and strategies to create profitable, sustainable and internationally-competitive farming and food chains. One policy has been to promote partnerships . Considerable time and money has been spent on implementing this policy. However, the many initiatives launched have only been partially successful. A key reason for this is that many of those trying to implement partnering have not recognised that, whilst there are many tangible and intangible advantages to be derived from partnerships , they are not always appropriate or possible. A key factor in determining when a partnership is either appropriate or possible and whether an attempted partnership was successful is buyer-supplier power. Unfortunately, the concept of power never featured in UK Government policy documents. The book also aims to improve our understanding of the dynamics of buyer-supplier power relationships. ····· 1036124724
