From the results, about 80% of the non-electrified households were assessed as relatively energy poor compared with only 10% of the solar-electrified households. The use of solar PV lighting reduced the proportion of household members being affected by indoor smoke from kerosene lanterns by 50%. The observations needed by the Kalman procedure are extracted with the Circle Hough Transformation, based on the assumption that the morphological structure of the aortic cross-section is approximately a circle. A robust Level Set method is then applied to compensate the approximation error and efficiently estimate the cross-section. The composite structure was characterized by both TEM and XRD. The particulate structure of PVC resin affected the distribution of clay, which could be improved by increasing the processing temperature. Almost fully exfoliated PVC/Cloisite 30B nano-composites were successfully prepared by a solution process in tetrahydrofuran, and the plasticizer migration resistance of this composite was significantly improved. Other commercial fillers for PVC such as calcium carbonate and hydrotalcite were compared with Cloisite 30B. It is interesting to find that PVC crystallization in the clay galleries can occur during annealing that increased the clay gallery spacing.
