Their population dynamics, habitat preferences and breeding seasonality were compared in order to develop methods for monitoring their populations that are suitable for game bird management purposes. Both guineafowl species were observed to breed at least once every year after the long rains season. The birds were also observed to suspend breeding and thereby recruitment during periods marked by drought conditions. There was variation in recruitment rates, spatially and temporally within and between the study sites. Die Diskussionen um die MAV bei Einsatz des MBR-Verfahrens in der kommunalen Abwassertechnik wurden fälschlicherweise häufig auf den Verfahrensschritt der zusätzlich erforderlichen Siebung des Abwassers verengt. Tatsächlich ist hierzu eine ganzheitliche Betrachtung der MAV notwendig, um die Interaktionen zwischen Rechen, Sand- und Fettfang und Sieb zu erfassen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit verlangt hierbei der Parameter `Fett` und dessen Entnahme im Fettfang, denn es ist unbedingt erforderlich, Fette von den Filtrationseinheiten der MBRAnlagen und nach Möglichkeit auch bereits von den Sieben fernzuhalten.
