Metabolizable Energy of Poultry Feed Ingredients

für 44.10€ kaufen ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Cereals and oil-seed meals available in Pakistan for poultry have greater variation in amount of energy availability to the birds. Factors responsible for this variability include quality of the ingredients, agro-climatic conditions, agronomic practices, area specifications, processing techniques, storage conditions and techniques for measuring energy availability to the birds. Age, strain, activity and level of feeding of birds also affect the metabolizable energy availability. Moreover, there is a dire need to determine the AME of the local feed ingredients to formulate rations for catering the dietary needs of today`s Chicken. The findings of our study concluded that broiler birds draw more energy from the same feed ingredient as compared to the broiler breeder. ····· 10361102119

Improving productivity of poultry is not the major objective of the industry, now securing a suitable future of the industry is more vital. The challenging situation has compelled avian nutritionists to explore for non-conventional feed stuffs. Yeasts for feeding can be obtained as a byproduct from distilleries. However it is economical to obtain it as a byproduct and common feed ingredient in diets for monogastric animals. Distillery sludge is the byproducts of brewing industry which contains 18.25 % crude protein while 37.14 % mineral content. This higher mineral content of distillery sludge is the main limitation towards its extensive use. Therefore, a project has been planned to reduce the mineral content of distillery sludge by washing and to replace different levels of canola meal in broiler rations. It is also to determine the effect of replacement of non conventional feeding stuff with conventional Protein supplement like canola meal on growth performance, hematological and histopathological aspects of broilers. ····· 10361100730

Population growth, urbanization, and income growth that fuelled the increase in meat and milk consumption in the recent decades has created enormous growth in livestock production which is coined as a Livestock Revolution. Globally, livestock production has responded to increasing demand primarily through a shift from extensive, small and subsistence livestock production systems towards more intensive and large scale commercial production units. With this shift come new technical problems. Calf morbidity and mortality are important problems that accompany intensification in dairy production. This work reviews calf health problems in dairy farms in general, and specifically quantifies calf morbidity and mortality and identifies their causes and risk factors primarily based on small holder commercially oriented intensive dairy farms in Central Ethiopia. The finding of the study informs farmers and herd health managers about the degree of the problem and what has to be done to mitigate the problem. The findings and recommendations are applicable to areas of similar production settings. It may be of also interest for researchers in the field on methodological and analytical grounds. ····· 1036199742

It is estimated that throughout the world, almost 150 million farm households are engaged in milk production, the majority of them in developing countries where annual growth rates in milk consumption averaged 3.5 to 4.0 per cent in the decade of 1995-2005. Bangladesh has 24 million cattle, out of which 6 million are dairy cattle of local and crossbreds. Dairying is part of the mixed farming systems and a predominant source of income, nutrition and jobs and a strong tool to develop a village micro economy of Bangladesh in order to improve rural livelihoods and to alleviate rural poverty. More regular cash income can be generated through market-oriented dairies and more employment per value added unit has been observed in dairying than in crops. One of the infectious diseases, which are a major constraint for dairy animal productivity, is brucellosis. Brucellosis in dairy cattle is caused by Brucella abortus. This book illustrates the conventional diagnosis and seroprevalence of of brucellosis in dairy cattle. Immune Response Of Broilers To Newcastle Disease Vaccination

für 61.20€ kaufen ···· Rheinberg-Buch.de - Bücher, eBooks, DVD & Blu-ray
Newcastle Disease (ND) is a contagious viral disease affecting wild and domestic avian species. The disease causes both high morbidity and mortality in chickens and therefore a serious economic threat to the poultry industry worldwide. Vaccination is the major control measure for ND in Nigeria. However, despite mass vaccination against ND, there are many reports of outbreaks of the disease in Nigeria. These outbreaks have been attributed to improper handling of vaccines, wrong vaccination practices, and inability of vaccinated birds to sustain immunity for a long time. It has been proposed that addition of vitamins minerals to feeds of poultry can enhance their immune response to vaccination. This work has been carried out to verify these claims and experiment best practices using vitamins A, C and E and Selenium to boost immunity and body weight of immunized broilers. The analysis should be of immense help to poultry owners and veterinarians looking to prevent vaccination failures and improve on feed conversion of broilers. ····· 1036198663

Classical Swine Fever (CSF) is one of the most devastating diseases affecting swines. Due to the changing nature of virus and varying clinical picture of the disease, the classical diagnostic methods often fail to identify the disease during outbreaks. Moreover, the postmortem autolysis and heterolysis of tissue samples renders the histopathological and molecular diagnosis of CSF almost impossible. Therefore, those tissues which are less prone to postmortem changes need to be identified and evaluated for their utility in diagnosis. Also, more sophisticated and modern diagnostic methods need to be employed and evaluated to serve as better alternatives to conventional diagnostic techniques for veterinary diseases. ····· 1036198257

Outbreaks of water-borne fungal infections of fish, amphibians, and reptiles are a common problem, especially in fish farms and hatcheries. Of particular concern is saprolegniasis, which is an infectious fungal disease that is widespread in all stages of the life cycle of fish. The disease causes serious losses in fish farms and hatcheries, especially among salmonid species. The initial clinical sign was characterized by the growth of cotton-like mycelia on the body surface, especially the head, adipose fin, and caudal fin, but the mycelia were not visible to the naked eye in the internal organs. The overall aims of this study are to gain a clearer understanding of the incidence and prevalence of saprolegniasis especially among salmonid fishes in Japan. Therefore, the author attempted to work on the objectives to investigate the Saprolegnia species associated with fungal infection in salmonids, with the goal of finding additional taxonomic criteria for such pathogenic species. Moreover, special efforts were done to develop devices for control of such infection either by using antifungal agents as substitute for malachite green and formalin or by biocontrol technique. ····· 1036192593
