Whilst both the United States and Canadian standards are discussed, an emphasis is placed on a Canadian context. The book traces the development of the accounting standards from the first conceptual frameworks developed by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) in the United States in 1979 to the eventual release of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) standards that came into effect in 1997. An explanation and breakdown of each CICA standard is then provided. The book concludes by examining actual financial statements issued by NFPOs in 1996, the year before the new Canadian standards come into effect. The latter is done to determine the work organizations needed to complete in order to adhere to the new Canadian standards. ····· 1036187650

In Marketing one size fits all does not apply. Customized marketing or mass customization is such an important strategic approach whereby elements of the marketing mix are individualized for each customer. This monograph deals with two empirical studies in which 300 Bangladeshi consumers living in Dhaka city were interviewed regarding their experiences with and attitudes toward mass customized products. The major findings were that attitudes towards customized marketing are being gradually positive. Nearly half of the respondents reported buying a personalized product and these buyers were very satisfied with their purchases. The most likely buyers of this type of product tend to be well educated consumers, younger, and higher than average income levels. Different inter-organizational relationships have emerged as important resources in supply chains. The decision about what type of inter-firm relationship (portfolios) is appropriate for a specific circumstance appears complex and demands a particular degree of managerial attention. The effective management of a relationships portfolio requires an understanding of their characteristics which can become complex as the supply chain network grows. While marketing channel theories and supply chain theories can provide some explanation for a wide range of inter-organizational relationships, the existing literature lacks a comprehensive explanation of the interplay between the attributes of relationships, the desired outcomes and differing inter-firm relationships. Consequently, this research seeks to fill the gap in the literature by first explaining the power that relational factors such as trust, power, interdependency, longevity and sharing, have in predicting the types of inter-firm relationships. ····· 1036187270

The survey instrument consists of LMX7(Graen & Uhl-Bien, 1995), 10-item TMX (Seers et al. , 1995) and 21-item OCB (Organ, 1988). The researcher conducted this quantitative research through a subordinate perspective and samples include 213 employees from different organizations in Taiwan. Unlike previous studies, the results did not reflect that there are significant differences of LMX among different Leader-Member gender compositions.
